The Makuyuni network consists of all those who contribute monthly, whether actively involved or supporting. Your crew contributions support the German association infrastructure: notary costs, domain, printing, materials, transaction fees to Tanzania, the teacher salaries for Lalahe and Lazaro on-site.
Only in this way can we honestly maintain the 100% claim on donations. Donations remain sacred, we bear the administration ourselves. This is the core difference from almost all other NGOs, and the reason why membership here is not a bonus, but a foundation.
You determine the amount
3 € minimum contribution, no upper limit. Adjustable at any time. No mandatory subscription, no tiers with goodies, just a realistic contribution that fits your life.
You decide.
As a member, you receive the quarterly update directly from the crew. At members' meetings, you help decide the direction in which the association grows.
Cancelable at any time
An informal email to mitglieder@makuyuni.org suffices, whether for cancelation, pausing, or changing the amount. No online portal, no deadlines.
Three amounts for guidance, you decide.
We recommend 10 €, as it cleanly covers the administration. The 3 € is the minimum contribution so that no one feels a barrier. "Freely chosen" is the slot for all who can give more or have another amount in mind.

Realistic anchor. With this amount, the network solidly covers administration, materials, and on-site teacher salaries. Our most chosen contribution.

Become a crew member.
Sign up briefly, we will contact you personally via email with all information about your crew contribution. Andy reads every registration himself.
Active membership means: you pay the same crew contribution and also invest time in day-to-day business, at events, and in communication. Both membership forms are the same in the financial model, the difference is only the level of engagement. Confirmation comes via email from Andy. First direct debit in the following month.

Membership does not fit every life phase. A one-time transfer to the donation account benefits the crew just as much, without a contract and without commitment.
