Server logs.
When you access this website, data is automatically stored in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing computer, time of access, IP address.
This data is technically necessary to correctly display the website and ensure stability and security (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. F GDPR, legitimate interest). They are not combined with other data sources and are deleted after a short period.
Cookies.
This website only uses technically necessary cookies required for the site's operation (e.g., drawer status, cookie notice status). There are no tracking cookies, no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel or similar profile-building technologies used.
Membership application.
If you register as a member, we process the data specified in the application (name, email, possibly address, bank details, crew contribution) for the purpose of member management (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. B GDPR, contract fulfillment).
These data are stored for the duration of your membership. After termination, they are deleted, unless there are legal retention obligations (e.g., tax law). For inquiries, write to us at mitglieder@makuyuni.org.
Donations.
If you donate to us, data is generated with the payment service provider (bank, possibly in the future PayPal, etc.). We use this data solely for proper accounting and, if requested by you, for issuing a donation receipt.
Newsletter.
We send our newsletter via Mailchimp (Intuit Inc., 405 Howard Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA). If you sign up, we transfer your email address to Mailchimp and it is stored there until you unsubscribe.
The signup process is via double opt-in: after your registration, we send you a confirmation email, and the newsletter is only sent out when you click the confirmation link. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, the link is included in every email. When you unsubscribe, we delete your address from our Mailchimp list.
Mailchimp also processes data in the USA. The transmission is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and Mailchimp's participation in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More in the Mailchimp privacy policy.

External content.
On our website, we link to external sites of our partners (Bücherbörse, J.Clay, Beyond Tellerrand, Fischers Fritze, among others) as well as to our external shop on Squarespace. Upon clicking such links, the target site's privacy policy applies.
We do not embed external content (videos, third-party fonts, maps, etc.) directly into our pages without explicitly stating it here.
Fonts.
